Here's Why Elon Musk Now Wants To Buy Twitter

Saga involving Elon Musk and Twitter suddenly became much more interesting. Just a few days after Musk became the biggest shareholder of Twitter (and some went back and forth about him potentially joining Twitter boards), Musk had moved even bigger. Today, Musk offers to buy Twitter directly, offering premiums rather than current stock prices in the game to take public social media networks once again personal. Twitter has become a publicly traded company since the end of 2013.

For Musk, it looks like this offer to buy Twitter is not so that he can add a social media network to his portfolio. Instead, Musk wants to make a personal Twitter again so that he can "unlock" the extraordinary potential of "social media networks". What happened from here was alleged anyone, but Musk had put several stroke-wide plans for the platform if Twitter accepted, along with what he would do if Twitter decreased.

Elon Musk wants to turn Twitter into a free speech platform

Musk revealed his offer to buy Twitter in a rather benign announcement, by saying only in the tweet published this morning, "I made an offer." The tweet also linked to archiving with the Securities Commission and Exchange United States (SEC) which revealed the details of the Bid of Musk. Apparently, billionaire businessmen offering $ 54.20 per share to obtain all Twitter's general shares, which was said to be 54% of the premium on stock prices on January 28, 2022 - the day before he began investing on Twitter - and 38% premium over stock prices on the stock price On April 1, 2022, which was the day before the investment was published.

So, Musk seriously has Twitter, and that submission with seconds includes a message from Musk to the chairman of Twitter Bret Taylor who tells us why he wants to get the company. "I invest on Twitter because I believe in its potential to become a platform for free speeches throughout the world, and I believe a free speech is a social necessity for democracy that works," Musk said. "However, since making my investment, I now realize that the company will not develop or serve the imperative of this community in its current form. Twitter needs to be transformed as a private company."

Musk continued to explain the offer and the premium he paid as described above, but then he also added that this is not only "the best and final offer," but he will also reconsider the "position of the shareholder" if it was not accepted. "Twitter has extraordinary potential. I will open it," the message ends.
