The US And Europe Just Seized This Popular Hacker Website

The Alliance of several global law enforcement agencies, including the Federal Investigation Bureau (FBI), Secret Service, the British National Crime Agency, Europol, and others, recently lead operations to capture web domains owned by Raidforums. Often described as one of the largest hackening forums in the world, Raidforums.com organizes a message board system where evil parties can buy, sell, and trade and steal data from large violations, including recent T-Mobile data leaks published 2021.

RaidForums used by leading global hacking organizations

RaidForums originated in 2015 and was originally raped by a primitive hacker that usually exchanged the database with a username and password obtained from low-level security violations throughout the world. Brian Krebs security researchers recorded a website as a place to regulate “electronic harassment” through activities such as robbing and targeted batons. Krebs also wrote that with increasing demand, Raidforums became “going to a place for English-speaking hackers to peddle their merchandise.” Deputy reports that with its roots that are increasingly deep, websites are also used by large hacking groups, including Lapsus $, which have stolen data from the leading platform including EA, Microsoft, Nvidia, Samsung, and Vodafone.

Coelho, which is known by his personal administrator, “Omnipotent,” reportedly mainly benefited by selling various forum membership ratings, including “MVP” and “God,” with Cryptocurrency Rewards. He will also be rumored to offer cost-based services to connect between parties who sell and buy data violated.

The Ministry of Justice, in his announcement, said RaidForums had more than ten billion notes of people living inside and outside the US. Meanwhile, in a separate statement, Europol said that the website had more than half a million users.

Site admin indicted with fraud and conspiracy charges

 

According to the official indictment submitted against Coelho, the investigation was tested by a disguised agent who used the RaidForums credit system that tried to buy data from the website. The fee also reads that in addition to providing information about stolen data to officers, Coelho also acts as an intermediary on the Exchange. The 21-year-old hacker has been indicted by theft of serious identity, international fraud, and conspiracy.

According to Krebs, Celho was first under the radar of the US law enforcement agency in June 2018 at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta, Georgia. After his arrival in Atlanta, Celelho’s electronic device, and government agencies found messages, emails, and files that referred to him with the RaidForums handle. Then that year, Coelho tried to contact the authorities, asking them to return the items, using the same email ID used to register the name URL RAID.LOL and RF.WS, both are used as a backup domain for RaidForums. Since February 2022, all domains that are known to be related to RaidForums have been confiscated and controlled by the FBI.
