In an effort to make a safer chat, whatsApp meta-owned on Thursday announced a new feature called ‘community’ which would allow users to collect groups separate under one umbrella and manage this busy conversation in a safe and personal way.
The company said that ‘community’ was protected with end-to-end encryption.
“Groups closed-knit – school, members of religious congregations, even businesses – must be able to do safe and personal conversations without whatsapp monitor every word,” said the company in a statement.
With new features, people can receive updates sent throughout the ‘community’ and easily manage smaller discussion groups about what is important to them.
“The community will also contain new new tools for the admin, including announcement messages sent to everyone and control of which groups can be included,” WhatsApp said.
For example, a principal can unite all parents to share updates that must be read and organize groups about certain classes, extracurricular activities or voluntary needs.
The company said it also made repairs how the group worked on WhatsApp, whether they were part of the community or not.
Emoji’s reaction comes to WhatsApp so that people can quickly share their opinions without flooding chat with new messages.
“The group admin will be able to delete the wrong or problematic message from everyone’s chat,” WhatsApp said, added that they increased file sharing to support files up to 2GB.
“We will introduce one tap voice call for 32 people with a new design,” said the company.
